I am grateful for the invitation to participate in the Beatitude Boutique in Spanish Fork on May 4th 2013. Bob and Sondra Dailey from Dailey Splinterz Wood Supply were instrumental in the success of this event.
There were a number of great vendors offering many different items for visitors to consider. One of my favorites was Ruby Wood Art operated by Rob and Addie Lucero. Rob was featured in the Spring 2012 issue of Woodcarving Illustrated.
Two new patrons joined the ranks of carved eggshell collectors:
Mary Dame brought home a chicken egg with two little songbirds pierced as silhouettes.
also, Butch and his wife Colleen took home this Celtic Cross relief carved in an emu eggshell. the colors are all natural which is possible because emus lay their eggs in 3 different colored layers.
Again, My thanks to the Bob and Sondra Dailey for a fun day at their event. I met some great people and made new friends.
A side note: Locally owned and operated, Bob Dailey of Dailey Splinterz searches for the best wood possible for carvers and pyrographers, making at least one yearly trip to Minnesota where he buys the majority of his wood.
